Michelle Abbott and Heather Oakley ran side-by-side for 26.2-miles of the Flying Pig Marathon in Cincinnati on May 3, 2009. The two avoided the heat that Music City Marathoners dealt with, and enjoyed ideal conditions. Their time was 4:43:38 which is an average pace of 10:57 per mile. They held a steady 10:34 per mile through mile 20 and then slowed for the final 6.2 miles.
This was a first marathon for both Heather and Michelle’s. The pictures below are from the Mule Day Kick 5K.
